I went to Friday Harbor for about 10 days in May (my friend was doing the summer work program in Roche). I didn't get to see any residents, but I did see a superpod of Transients doing some very un-transient behavior! They were even vocalizing above water!
But alas....no Ruffles. When I was there, I had this feeling he was gone. Hard to explain. I will definitely miss the big guy. I count him as a celebrity that I "met"!
